Indeed.

I do, then, wonder why you would want to use WebRTC, rather than an icecast-style setup using streaming HTTP. What you describe isn't real-time (at least, not in the way WebRTC uses that term), so WebRTC doesn't really seem like the right tool. In fact, your application seems like it would benefit greatly from the kind of multi-second buffering that we would consider to be wildly unacceptable for WebRTC.
