Yeah, I'm not quite sure how to register such displeasure. In particular, I think it's probably poor form to object to maintenance work on a base specification, even if we're opposed to that specification's use elsewhere. At least, assuming we don't want to make the argument that the energy being spent on that maintenance shouldn't be.
