IE UI?

I'm quoting your opening post:

/"Ideally, I would be able to give any feedback to
the editor before November 19th, after which there may be another vote
on adopting the updated specification."
/
We did request clarification and suggested changes in our first post
about certain issues, which will be hopefully included in your feedback
to the editor.

/"The Mozilla project as a whole needs to decide whether EV will make a
material difference to the reliability of information in certificates
and, if so, whether that warrants a different UI presentation for EV
certificates. It would also be good to have a more general discussion
about how we present security information to users."
/
Also here we made concrete suggestions about how to present security
information to the user in a better way. If the proposed change of the
UI behavior only satisfies the EV standard, which was developed in a
closed process (or can you point me to an open invitation or mailing
list, where the proposed standard could be influenced, shaped and
discussed?), than we'd suggest to keep the current status quo in
addition to an extended mouse-over-padlock in order to display
subscriber and issuer information better and faster.
