it would depend on what exactly is happening on the server side. you
didnt provide much information on that apart from saying that some-
how you managed to "mis-configure" your server. if you can expand on
that part perhaps that should give us a clue whats going on there.

It seems ldap_result() was not called. Isn't ldap_simple_bind() async func? Why
does it behave like the sync one ldap_simple_bind_s()?
