I think the current implementation is ok.
I agree that on the presentation part it would be the job of the console to
display something appropriate and aesthetically pleasing. The mbean should
supply an accurate value as it may be used by machines as well, not only human
consumption. As far as jconsole goes, it presents the raw data it gets as
expected.
I'd suggest closing this as a won't fix, or move it to need-review. wdyt?
