@parvit @TropicalPenguin I don't mean to discourage anyone from contributing to the project, quite the opposite. But, I do feel that everyone should try to coordinate their efforts. Some of these discussions, like how to implement this specific feature, need to be discussed/addressed before implementing it. Especially, if there are questions about how to implement it. For example - > Hi @TropicalPenguin, it says here https://neo4j.com/docs/cypher-manual/current/deprecations-additions-removals-compatibility/#_deprecated_features_2 that the SET a=b syntax is deprecated in 5.2, and SET a=properties(b) is recommended instead. > > Should we allow both for this change or only the recommended one? thanks This is something that needs to be discussed by the Apache AGE PMCs, committers, and community. Additionally, as this would likely require changes to the grammar file to support, there is a lot to think about on whether or which, we support, or not. To answer the question - > Should we allow both this change or,... My position would be to say yes, if the grammar permits it without causing side effects. But, again, it isn't just my decision. Btw, If either of you would like to be a part of these discussions and decisions, you are more than welcome to become committers to the Apache AGE project. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
