HI Harsha, Airavata is a Distributed Computing framework in which Workflow is a component. A good place to start is to do literature study on Science Gateways. We will need to compile a set of reference papers to make it easy for you to get an understanding on. You will quickly realize the best way to find out differences in features in open source projects is cracking open the code. So I suggest downloading the code, going through tutorials and asking questions on the corresponding mailing lists of the tools you are comparing against. You identified a good first list, please keep sharing your learnings so future users/students like you will benefit from your contributions.
