Hi, friends. As you may (or may not!) be aware, the Apache Training project -- https://training.apache.org -- is a project that produces a standard way to create training modules (ie, slide decks) for various Apache projects and topics.
The general idea is that anyone with a little knowledge can pick up one of these resources and give a presentation to their local Meetup group (or, whatever) about the topic, and that the presentation has enough context and speaker notes to make them look knowledgeable, while pointing to authoritative resources for whatever they don't know. There's one for Airflow: https://training.apache.org/presentations/airflow/index.html It's *super* basic. It lacks speaker notes, and it feels like it's probably out of date in terms of specific details. (I am *NOT* an expert here, so that's just feel, not actual knowledge.) The source for this presentation is here: https://github.com/apache/incubator-training/blob/develop/content/Apache/Airflow/src/main/asciidoc/index.adoc What I'm looking for is someone from your community who is willing to do one (or more!) of the following: 1) Take ownership of this presentation, and update it so that it can in fact be used in the manner described above. 2) Work with myself, or someone else from the training.a.o project, to update it. 3) Provide a comparable "Intro to Airflow" presentation that someone can then convert to the format expected by the t.a.o project (Asciidoc). Here, again, either do this work, or work with me (or someone else) to do that work. The eventual goal, of course, is that we'd have one of these for each project, but that's a *huge* amount of work, and you're the lucky project that starts with A and already has a starter presentation. Please let me know if you are willing to undertake any of the above tasks. (Please, if you're willing, CC: d...@training.apache.org on your response, so that other members of the project can see, and perhaps pick up the task if they get to it first!) --Rich, training.apache.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@airflow.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@airflow.apache.org
