Hello everyone, We already agreed on the escalation path for when we see annoying Gen-AI contributions. We even tested it in practice: PMC already blocked a user at the ASF organisation level. After a while, they apologised, explained what happened and promised to do better so we restored the user via ASF INFRA..
However, that incident was a footnote in a Gen-AI section of a PR. I think it's a good idea to generalize this process, extract it to a separate page and link to it from various places in our contributing documentation: Here is the proposal: https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/67557 I do not expect much controversy here—since we already agreed on this for Gen-AI and tested it—but I wanted to discuss it here. If we get enough +1s (with possible comments), I will call for LAZY CONSENSUS and merge it. J.
