Hey all,

I have just cut the new wave Airflow Providers packages with release
preparation date 2026-09-22. This email is calling a vote on the release,
which will last for an extended period of 5 days - which means that it will
end on 2026-09-29 12:00 UTC, with at least 3 binding +1 votes required for
the release to pass.

Consider this my (binding) +1.
General highlights

   - This wave includes many providers. Fun fact: there were so many that I
had to split the testing GitHub issue in two! This is mainly due to the
work on #35259, which adds connection ID templating across all providers.
   - Work on #70296 is nearly complete, with a few exceptions (in practice
I resolved the issue). It moves template-field validation and
transformation out of __init__ so they run after template rendering,
preventing errors caused by processing unrendered values.
   - We hope to graduate common.ai to 1.0.0 in the next RC, whether in a
wave or an ad hoc release. I'd like to ask the community's attention to
test this provider’s 0.10.0 RC extensively, as it includes many changes.
   - To allow an appropriate time for testing all providers (in particular:
common.ai, fab, google, and amazon) - I extend the usualy release vote
period in extra two days than usual.

Breaking changes and upgrade notes

   - *edge3 4.3.2 → 5.0.0:* EdgeExecutor now counts queued workloads
against [core] parallelism. Review this setting if you rely on higher
   concurrency (#72048).
   - *git 0.5.0 → 1.0.0:* Token authentication now uses a credential helper
configured through GIT_CONFIG_COUNT and requires Git ≥ 2.31 on Dag
   processors and workers (#64105).
   - *microsoft.psrp 3.2.7 → 4.0.0:* PsrpOperator no longer defaults task_id
to the cmdlet; pass task_id explicitly (#73036).
   - *openai 1.8.2 → 2.0.0:* create_embeddings now returns a list of
embedding vectors for list inputs, rather than only the first vector. This
also changes the XCom returned by OpenAIEmbeddingOperator for those
   inputs (#71989).
   - *common.ai <http://common.ai> 0.9.0 → 0.10.0:* PydanticAI vendor
connection types change from hyphens to underscores; SQLToolset now
rejects allowed_tables=None and allowed_tables=[] (omit the argument to
allow all tables); and execute_complete overrides on LLMOperator and
   LLMBranchOperator must accept decision=None (#72853, #73381, #73452,
   #73368).
   - *Amazon:* Deferrable operators and sensors now pass their AWS region,
TLS verification, and botocore settings to triggers (#72171). FTP/SFTP–S3
transfers now match filename prefixes rather than substrings (#73269).

Deprecations

   - *Google Cloud Stackdriver:* Stackdriver components are renamed to
Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging (#73354, #73575). The Stackdriver*
operators, StackdriverHook, and Stackdriver links move to the new
CloudMonitoring* classes in the cloud_monitoring modules. The
Stackdriver task log handler becomes CloudLoggingTaskHandler in
cloud_logging_task_handler. The old names still work but emit
deprecation warnings; they are planned for removal after March 31, 2027.
   - *Google Cloud Pub/Sub:* The default for return_immediately is
   deprecated (#73504). PubSubPullOperator, PubSubPullSensor, and
PubsubPullTrigger now warn when return_immediately is not set. This also
applies to Google Pub/Sub asset watchers. The default will change from
True to False in the first Google provider major release after March 31,
2027. To preserve the current behavior, pass return_immediately=True.
The deferrable PubSubPullSensor now respects this argument; previously,
it dropped it, so the trigger always ran with True.
   - *Amazon QuickSight:* QuickSightHook.wait_for_state is deprecated in
favor of wait_for_ingestion, and the operator’s check_interval is
deprecated in favor of waiter_delay (#70218). No removal date has been
   set.

This will allow us to rename the artifact without modifying
the artifact checksums when we actually release it.

The status of testing the providers by the community is kept here:

The issue is also the easiest way to see important PRs included in the RC
candidates.
Detailed changelog for the providers will be published in the documentation
after the
RC candidates are released.
