Hi Jarek,

Thanks for the reminder!

+ Amogh so we can coordinate our talks.

1. BTW I don't see our accepted talk being included in the Airflow filter when
filtering the schedule by Airflow Contributor Day. Should it be included in
that track?

Disruption-Ready Airflow: Resumable Operators and Infra Retry Budgets for
Kubernetes at Scale

2. Amogh, sorry for the seemlingly-overlap with your talk, The evolution of
durable execution in Airflow
<https://web.cvent.com/event/ac71ce47-2b5f-424c-abfe-5b48255315fb/summary?session=9b3a0f3f-bf8a-45e3-9ee8-8bca236bfa09&shareLink=true>.
When we submitted our proposal, AIP-96 was still there (or I might have
missed). AIP-103 has since superseded it, but our title still reflects the
earlier scope - will email the organizer to update ours to drop that scope, or
if Jarek / some other committer / PMC has access, we can come up an updated
name together and update it directly (Maybe Disruption-Ready Airflow:
Infrastructure Recovery and Kubernetes Migration?). Will make sure to keep the
AIP-103 and resumable-operator walkthrough out of our talk and point attendees
to yours for that material.

Our talk will focus on:

Keeping workflows running through Kubernetes infrastructure failures. Our
internal recovery mechanisms already support thousands of task instances each
day, helping interrupted tasks recover while preserving users' retry budgets
for application failures. We'll explain how pod watches and state
reconciliation support that recovery, and connect our operational experience to
AIP-97 failure classification and AIP-122 infrastructure retries
Moving Airflow between Kubernetes clusters while long-running workflows
continue, without a global service shutdown. We'll share how we managed
execution ownership, worker-pod reconciliation, and a gradual cutover in
production.
We'd be glad to coordinate examples so attendees get two complementary
perspectives.

Best,
Stefan
