Yeah agree there is no difficulty to go edit and change the status. But the
quick edit
feature will be a instant shortcut of doing the same. Also when user
activates edit
there might be a small probability to change the markdown by mistake. Also
people
who voted for this ticket may had bit difficulty of feeling with current
way of changing
status.

Agree with your feature adding timing. We will look this when we go more
with our
responsive UI work
