AIUI only Yann and I are interested in this problem set, perhaps because
others long ago hacked around it in autoconf overrides? In any case,
this is the last issue that interested me. I didn't see any issues raised
w.r.t. APR (not APR-util) for a tag of 1.7.0.

Barring any other distraction, about 10am CDT this Friday I'd expect
to tag a first candidate as 1.7.0 and see if that flies. I'd love for many
of you to give the current state of ^/apr/apr/branches/1.7.x/ a whirl
and report (or fix) any irregularities.

I'm not proposing any tag of APR-util at this time.

Cheers,

Bill
