I would like to have the Copyright year taken care of by one of our
tools. I don't think it is currently possible.
A while ago, while I was mostly working within emacs, I had emacs set up
to automatically update the copyright year when I changed a file.
Nowadays most of the developers work within Eclipse and, well, you win
some functions, you loose some functions.
The other option would be if CVS (or subversion that we are eventually
moving to) had a year-of-last-edit keyword. They don't.
I guess we will stick to manual updates for some time.
I don't know if it is needed to update the year when no other changes
are made to the file. On the other hand, we are normally bad at updating
when changes are made but that is the opposite problem.
