Hi Khalid,
Do not aim to high! Some of the subjects mentioned
in the previous mails seem quite a lot of work... If in the end you do not
finish, you have a big problem (and the ArgoUML project is not helped either
;-). It is important that you succeed your study.
Instead of taking on one big monolithic subject,
such as a seperate module for ArgoUML, it would be much more manageble
to solve one or more big or small issues from ArgoUML's issues database.
With 360 defects and 420 enhancements/features you have plenty of choice IMHO.
I have good experience with mentoring a student
doing exactly this.
Do not underestimate the importance of the
manageability of your project!
Since you can change the list of issues you tackle
whenever you want, you can have as result a list of solved issues.
If you need one subject as your Final Project, then
choose a number of issues that all are about the same subject or in the same
subsystem. E.g. the student I mentored handled many issues about the critics,
i.e. "improvements to the critics subsystem".
BTW, you will find some subjects in the ArgoUML job
jar at:
Regards,
Michiel
