Hi, Thanks for your comments, I have already started solving the bugs I have pointed ;-) About your feature suggestions, what do you mean by:
"Make the profiles exportable, once loaded in a project. I.e. export profile as XMI. This will allow extending e.g. the Java profile." ? maas 2007/7/11, Michiel van der Wulp <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Hi Marcos, Linus, I looked at the functionality. In short, if you get the bugs out, then this is ready for committing to main branch. Yes, I can also think of some new functionality to add. Can we enter issues for the remaining bugs? Maybe with a new "subcomponent" named Profiles ? Bugs: - The big icon does not appear if it is the first thing you select after starting ArgoUML. - I made a project that was not loadable -> exception. The project showed a class with big/small icon. - The class name is covered by the small icon. Features: - The Stereotype Visualization choice should also appear on the Presentation tab in the details panel. - Make the profiles exportable, once loaded in a project. I.e. export profile as XMI. This will allow extending e.g. the Java profile.
- Make profiles browsable, e.g. in the explorer or in the file properties
settings tab. Otherwise, you just wonder what is inside the profiles... - Add the profiles settings tab also in the Settings menu-item, as a user's default. Marcos Aurelio, the Google summer of code student working with implementing handling of profiles, has made an implementation that is now working sufficiently well for all developers to test. Since the area of handling profiles is an area with a lot of different agendas I suggest you test and give your ideas on how to take this further. There is a small instruction on what it is all about at http://argouml.tigris.org/gsoc2007/profiles/tutorial/index.htm that I suggest we can add to the User Manual as we add the functions in the code. You can test this from your Eclipse setup (or from a new Eclipse setup) by switching the Eclipse project argouml to http://argouml.tigris.org/svn/argouml/branches/gsoc2007/maurelio1234/src_new , letting Eclipse compile and then start the ArgoUML Configuration. Let me (and Marcos) know what you think about this so that we can plan the next steps. /Linus ------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
