A slight side topic but why should there be a rule that a module should not have GUI elements. Surely a module is a component that can contain its own GUI subsystems a non GUI subsystems each of which can plugin to our own core subsystems. For example the sequence diagram module is a component that extends the proppanel subsystem and the diagram subsystem. I see no reason why other modules should not be able to extend more than one subsystem be that GUI or not in the same component. But the subsystems inside those modules should be clearly separated.
