Looks like this might be related: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/691479/how-to-deal-with-missing-libcrypt-so-1-on-arch-linux as manjaro also uses pacman and Arch Linux's packages.
I'm re-running the verification right now after installing the recommended package in that thread.
