CASSIO DOS SANTOS commented on ATLAS-2246:
------------------------------------------
Mandy,
I don't see the IGCOMRS* skeletons in the patch submitted for review, is this
something that has been shared already?
We can make progress without those but if anything is already written that we
can use as a starting point.
Of the groups of methods in MetadataCollection, you are suggesting we focus on
the getters (querying) and adders (maintaining) of instances, based on the
relevant types already defined in area 1 and area 2, based on the mapping we
would define/implement between IGC types and those Atlas types. We can
implement the getter for a subset of the types (say glossary) using the
existing IGC REST API and the adders/updaters for PDR/IDR based on the IMAM
REST API in progress. I'd like to narrow down the scope of types for both
directions for an initial iteration to the minimal we need to implement to have
an operational connector that addresses the use cases of interest in the very
short term. I think it makes sense to break the work into 2 main "stories", one
for the reading methods and another for the writing methods, regardless of
which IGC/IMAM API is used. We have some JIRAs already in place to cover some
of that work and I'll use them to add related comments, this is just in
response to your previous comment. Let me know if I misunderstood anything.
Thanks!
