No one is maintaining Cornerstone? How do you figure? I thought that you
and others were maintaining Cornerstone along with Phoenix, and that Merlin
supports Cornerstone components. Within the past two weeks, there have been
commits to Cornerstone, e.g.,

There is a distinct difference between maintaining something and bug fixing. Maintenance means that you support the users, and help them with their problems--which may mean a change to the code. Just because there hasn't been a lot of activity on the code in Cornerstone does not mean that it is not being maintained. It just so happens that most of the maintenance issues are handled with answering user questions.

It is difficult to determine who is using what in Cornerstone at this
time. I think a wholesale move would be premature. So -1 on moving
it until we get a better picture on who is using what. Are there
parts of Cornerstone that have not been touched or completed? Yes.
However we need to talk to our users first to get a better idea on
what they are.

Certain parts of Cornerstone would be best served by merging with
an existing Excalibur project. Other parts would be best served
by putting it in Sandbox.

At the very least, we need to consider what JAMES is using, and what
each of us is using from Cornerstone. For instance, I have a project
using the Socket Management stuff--while it is not perfect, it needs
to be supported in some way. Even if it is to support the imperfect
version until the new one to replace it was written.
