I have no problem deprecating the components you indicated and creating compatible wrappers for components that are better maintained elsewhere.
At the same time we must be respectful of people that are using the current components, and to that end, lets move cornerstone in its entirety to sandbox, not deleting anything. Lets let it stay there until wrappers are created. Once all worthy components have replacements and users have something to migrate to, then lets remove it.
I just don't want to blow it away since there are people actively using it, even if there is no release.
