Yup! Same in Moscow.
Not everywhere, the districts differ, but some
have quite a bit of female pine trees. The pollen
rolls over the floor and gathers into small clouds.
I've heard some people are allergic to it..
Some sources say that it were the residents of the
city themselves who created the trouble: it was
quite popular 10-30 years ago to bring trees from
somewhere (don't know where from exactly - was too
little or unborn then) and plant them in the yards.
The problem was that these trees were often pines
and sometimes female.

But, the pollen is white, isn't it??
