> [have fun and otherwise act sensibly]
+1
1) We do a quick beta release of Merlin.
+1
1) We outfit Merlin to support Phoenix users and Fortress users.
+.5 (I'm leaning more towards working on stuff like support for pico and xwork users, but the idea is sound)
2) We release Merlin as a container that can support all our current users (X)
2) We release Merlin as our one container for current users.
+0 (no +1 until I actually see all usecases supported)
> We can start having fun with a nano-kernel/container-container approach.
I refuse to start having fun until any kind of precondition is fulfilled :D
Thoughts? Am I off my rocker?
<joke>Steve offer you a big pile of money or something?</joke>
I think its not a good idea to try and formalize this 'All New Plan' (joke again). Just get things going (you and Steve seem like 70% of actual commits anyways nowadays so it should matter) and we leave decisions of any management kind until we arrive at the spot marked (X).
I might very actively get behind this effort if that seems like fun at the time I have the time.
gonna fire up the barbie now ;)
cheers,
- Leo
