Hello all. First off, I've been following the general commotion on the list but due to a heavy work load haven't been able to join in on the banter. Hopefully I'll get a chance to catch up on the email and enter the fray.
In the meantime, most of you have probably heard about the new "Geronimo" project -- Apache's J2EE implementation. The incubator list has been sacked with mail by people wanting to contribute. So here's my question: Are any of the other developers in Avalon interested in contributing? I know things have been a little shaky here, but regardless of what 'Geronimo' will be based on, it's going to need a container (or containers) and people familiar with container design. Whether that means Phoenix, Fortress, Merlin, or something new, I think this would be an excellent opportunity to contribute our container skills and increase the visibility of Avalon. In all honesty, it would be a shame if the "Apache J2EE implementation" does not end up building on or working with the "Apache Server Framework." J.
