How much to you want to bet that the problem will dissapear if you switch to the Maven beta 10 binary download? But all the same - this is valuable knowledge. I read something on the maven dev list that some playing around had been done with respect to manifest generation. If we can clear this up we will be in better shape when the next maven release hits the steets.
