The binary distro still produces the same error message,
jar:jar:

component composition." is not valid as it does not contain a name and a
value separated by ': '

[jar] Building jar:

which could be because of an empty line at the end, but that sounds a bit
weird.
BUT, the JAR file is read properly in Merlin.
I'll leave it at that for now...
