My opinion on this does not matter. I've already posted my thoughts about what should happen before a release. If Carsten or others agree with those points then great - you'll probably see some help on the process from yours truly. If not - no big deal. Nobody (contrary to popular opinion) is being blocked.

Let's just bump up the major version number when those changes come.
Release early, release often - no need for perfect docs or code.
Above all, no need to get the components into some perfect state
where we have all outstanding issues including future development
(such as the @avalon tag spec) done. That's making a top priority blocker out of a "I may want it in six months" enhancement request.
