I know that Avalon has decided to focus on Merlin. I have no problems with that, and I wish you all the best in that endeavor. I thought that the exact direction of Fortress was still up in the air--beyond no longer supporting it.
If that is the case, I would like to host it over on D-Haven, or perhaps something like it that is compatible. While I know there should be no issue with the latter course, the first one does require a "buyout" so to speak with Avalon.
I wouldn't call it "official" yet since there hasn't been a vote or anything. In fact, there really should be more discussion here on the lists since a lot of
what has been discussed has only been on IRC or blogs.
Personally I would rather see Fortress find a home in Apache since then it's not technically a "fork," if that makes sense. I have no problems seeing it over on d-haven but I think it would just be simpler if it stayed here somewhere.
Unfortunately I really don't have the time at the moment to give this matter the attention I really do want to give it. I'm sorry. Though the PMC could handle this matter "officially" without me if necessary.
You only get married once. Don't get uptight about Avalon now. That would not help you get started on the right foot in your marriage.
