Leading up to the switch the discussions concerning the site - the
discussions that I was aware of do not seem to support you assertion.
What I do recall are the comments and options in the following threads:

Re: New Avalon site Look in the making.
  http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?t=108568509400007&r=1&w=4

What is funny in the above thread is that it starts off with Niclas
saying "I have been hard at work to implement the new site look proposed
by Stephen a week or so ago" but according to you and Stefano the entire
credit for the new site belongs to me. It is interesting how history is
changed to adapt to the immediate isn't it?

But moving on - we discussed (we being the dev community) the
finalization of the site. That added requirements concerning versioning
of documentation (I think you may even have suggested it). Here is the
thread just for reference:

  http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?t=108730323900002&r=1&w=4

The result of that thread was the addition of version linked javadocs
into the magic build systems (and that was even before Stefano went
ballistic). Just between you and I - I think the strategy of site
versioning needs to go further - but that an action for the future.

But let's not forget - Stefano wants to paint me as the bad guy and make
me responsible for the changes but in reality that would be so grossly
misleading and contradictory to you own comments at the time. See the
following link for more details.

  http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?t=108732362300002&r=1&w=4

As we neared the completion of the site we got into discussions
concerning product alignment - specifically the alignment of Avalon
brand with specific products we promote. The following thread resulted
in a lot of my own content being cut from the main site - I guess we can
skip over that because its not really consistent with the argument your
making and I definitely don't want to contradict you.

Anyway could you or Stefano please provide any evidence that
substantiates your respective assertions that I'm basically controlling
- and by implication - responsible for everything. Get a life guys - it
just in your imaginations.

Aaron - you probably believe this. Stefano probably believes this. Does
this make it a reality? If you really do believe this then make the case
based on the content here - the public archives - and put the case
forward without the protection of private lists. I want to see the
evidence. If you can't find the evidence - then drop the case and move
on. There are much more interesting things to do.

We changed Avalon. The "we" includes you. You, me, and everyone else
here are responsible for what we have created and where we are. Denial
will not save you now.

So long as you and Stefano propagate the falsehood that hat is happening
here is the result of a single individual, and so long as the members of
the board hold to the notion that punishing myself is the cure, I very
much doubt that the board will be able to reach consensus on a position
that will benefit our users.

So stop thinking about the board and the politics. Start thinking about
what is best for the community

Cheers, Stephen.
