Hey Patrick,
You can capture the issue relation metadata more formally with JIRA by clicking
the "Link" ("... this issue to another issue") link to the left. I went ahead
and added the two issues you specify to this issue, but wanted to be sure you
knew about this feature of JIRA, as it's quite useful.
