Hey Ryan, Any chances we could atleast get the circular references patch in? (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AVRO-695) It's been reviewed extensively by Doug Cutting already and my patch for circular references in Hive Avro SerDe has also been accepted in Hive. It would be good to have the Avro side of patch also accepted so that the next versions of Avro and Hive can handle these without any issues.
