Felix, thanks for explaining how aliases can be used when adding new symbols.
So we have three options: aliases alone, fallback alone, or both.
Is there consensus that adding both aliases and a fallback symbol is overly
complicated? If so, then are there folks who strongly feel that fallback alone
is not powerful enough? If so then that might point to implementing aliases
alone.
