Hey everybody -- For the most part, it seems that the PR template that we use is largely ignored, and the checklist is seldom actually applied! Github reports on the number of tasks done in the checklist, but most merged PRs don't have 4 tasks out of 4 completed. It's kind of misleading.
I think we can probably do better and have more descriptive PRs with less general boilerplate to encourage more targeted text! I put up a proposal shamelessly adapted from Flink at https://github.com/apache/avro/pull/1851, all comments are welcome! All my best, Ryan
