[~romeokienzler] I understand that the current state of the fix is working for
you. But, your fix only works for the case where the sql-cloudant connector is
the only connection to a Cloudant account which is not the case for a majority
of the users.
As [~ricellis] said in an earlier comment, the approach followed in some of the
other Cloudant libraries is to (optionally) retry requests that receive a 429
at an increasing back-off interval. This approach (which I've also added
comments for in the PR) is more robust and solves additional cases for many of
the Cloudant users.
