I'd like to schedule a video meeting to kick off the incubation
process. Previous projects that I have mentored have found it useful:
a chance for initial committers and mentors to meet each other, a
chance for everyone to ask all of the questions that may be on your
mind, and a chance for us folks at the ASF to talk about the Apache
Way and why it is important. (If you think the Apache Way is about
writing well-documented, high performance code you might be
surprised.)

Attendance is not mandatory, but it would be great if most of you
(mentors, initial committers) could attend. Also, if there is a
stakeholder sponsoring your work (a manager, a research supervisor, or
a spouse who will be looking after the kids while you write code) they
are welcome to attend as well. They might be interested to find out
what Apache is all about.

So, let's find a time that is convenient for everyone who wishes to
attend. I'm in California on Pacific time, but I suspect that the
majority of initial committers are on Central European time. Is anyone
in an east asian time zone (China, India, Australia)? Is 1800 UTC (8pm
in France, 10am in California, 1am in China) a good time for everyone?
I could do as early as 1500 UTC (7am California, 5pm France) or as
late as 0500 UTC (10pm California, 7am France).

How about this Thursday (20th October) or the following Tuesday (25th
October) at 1800 UTC?

If those times/dates don't work, please reply with your preferred
dates and times of day.

Julian
