Yes, I think local unit tests should be fast and simple and validate the
functionality of your code, rather than an ability of ssh client to connect
somewhere. E.g. they should be unit, not system tests.
Another consideration: in many cases laptops aren't even carrying ssh server.
In which case the original implementation won't fly at all.
