Mark Grover commented on BIGTOP-1339:
-------------------------------------

Hi [~rguo], I respectfully disagree. I am of the opinion that we shouldn't
associate the concept of default configuration with our base packages. I think
it makes sense to have base packages (by that I mean packages like hadoop) to
have very bare configuration. the psuedo configuration package is delivered as
a convenience artifact, like Roman suggests.

And, fwiw, if you install all rpms via {{rpm -ivh *.rpm}} like you suggested,
you will install the pseudo-conf and be able to run hadoop out of the box.

> hadoop pseudo configuration can be default configuration

> in existing implementation, hadoop-conf-pseudo-2.2.0.x86_64.rpm is to provide
> hadoop pseudo configuration. we may take hadoop pseudo configuration as
> hadoop default configuration and move hadoop pseudo configuration to
> core/hdfs/yarn rpm.
