Hi, Mark,
1. We may have pseudo configuration for all components like hadoop pseudo:
hbase-conf-pseudo*.rpm
hive-conf-pseudo*.rpm
2. as your suggestion, we should separate base packages and default
configuration.
in existing implementation, /etc/<component>/conf -->
/etc/<component>/conf.dist.
We may remove /etc/<component>/conf.dist and keep /etc/<component>/conf (non
symbol link)
bare configuration and psuedo configuration should be in same directory
/etc/<component>/conf.
in this case, files in bare configuration and psuedo configuration have no
overlap.
