I just mean that if these files exist in the Apache-released source tarball
(and they should), we should preserve them in our packages (perhaps under
/usr/lib/<component>). I know several of our earlier packages already do this,
but I've been meaning to check all of them and correct the ones that don't. I
agree we shouldn't be in the business of making up legally binding info, so if
a source tarball does not include this information, I am not suggesting we
include the file ourselves. It wasn't something I kept in mind when I started
working on Bigtop, so I know I personally haven't intentionally done this for
new components as I've added them.
