1) In the gist above the *JavaCollections* is being used via {{products.map}} .

2) I agree with the comments, I fixing that also .
- Any other stuff you suggest i bundle into this cleanup.
- Question : In spark, is *saveAsTextFile* a distributed write operation, and
if not , can we make it one?
- Can you comment on the TODO's in here ?
