ITEST should be a derivative of BIGTOP_HOME. And the latter might have a decent
default, don't you think? E.g. most likely the tests are run from the bigtop
directory, so perhaps it makes sense to check if the current dir has the stuff
that the typical BIGTOP_HOME would.
