The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache BigTop has asked:

YoungWoo Kim

to become a committer and we are pleased to announce that they have
accepted.

YoungWoo is a packaging powerhouse, no doubt. Without his work,
- arguably the most important component of bigtop, apache spark, would not
be up to date at this time.... As an example of some his work, the phoenix
packaging
https://github.com/apache/bigtop/commit/b163a794d95576bbb46a0f065429db568a154bf6
and
- recent cleanup of the spark packaging
https://github.com/apache/bigtop/commit/e4288e08d7bab850d8cf4f46fb5f8cd9f2a397ca
really stand out in my mind.

Being a committer enables easier contribution to the project since
there is no need to go via the patch submission process.

This should enable better productivity.
