Just to make it clear, I'm not saying that the co-lead should be or has to be a Sun employee! Nevertheless, the co-lead should be able to either answer technical questions himself or have access to technical resources who can answer questions regarding the usage of the APIs and XML. Thus, someone from a systems integrator with OpenOffice.org programming/integration experience would be a good candidate, too.
Cheers, Erwin

I agree with Ryan's sentiments. This has nothing to do with Erwin and his qualifications, but if one of the key roles of this position to get more ISV adoption then more participation external to Sun would be beneficial. One of the issues ISVs have is the fact that OOo is still viewed as almost exclusively run by Sun.

I have nothing but respect and admiration for Erwin and all he does, especially in this area, But I think that it is too important for bizdev to be inclusive to have the two co-leads be from SUN and Collab-net respectively. Maybe we should have three, with Erwin, Louis and someone who runs a small business around OOo who is also active in the community.

Hi Daniel, All,
Daniel, perhaps you would like to nominate another candidate for the role, so that we can vote on this.
