Hello Ruben,

I’d like to add CALCITE-6239 and CALCITE-6263 addressed in [1] to the list. The 
PR improves support for PostGIS. I think it is in relatively good shape, but 
I’m still waiting for a feedback regarding the coupling to Java Topology Suite 
[2] before merging.
