Would like to see your comment on the Apache ComDev mailing list to discuss this with the other projects. We are not the only XYZ extra project in the Apache space. And it's not only about code and infrastructure. It's about the (Apache) community [1]. It's easy to write (good) code - it's hard to build a (good) community. That's where many projects failed over the last years...
Again, I'm not against GitHub. Please join the discussion at Apache ComDev and make your statement there - and may all Apache XYZ extra projects will end up there.
