Hi everyone, I would like to check if someone planning to attend Community Over Code would be interested and available to help me with Cassandra track room logistics as Track room shepherd.
This role is essentially being the go-to person for the track if any issue arises, being available in the room to help the speaker get set up and help with any problems that might come up (mic/projector not working), announcing the speaker, etc. There will be dedicated staff from the conference to help but this person would be responsible for liaising with them and seeking help if needed. I will be doing some of this but it would be nice to have backups and take breaks so it would be awesome if we could split this responsibility between more people. I have split each day into 3 blocks and volunteers would be assign to one (or multiple) slots based on availability and number of volunteers: Morning: 10:20AM - 12:40PM (3 talks) Mid Afternoon: 2:20PM - 3:50PM (2 talks) Late Afternoon: 4:10PM - 6:20PM (2 talks) If you are interested please respond to me with your preferred conference days (Fri/Sat/Sun) and periods that you would be available to help out in this role and I will get back with more details.
