Hello,

I noticed there are more CEPs coming recently which is great to see
but what I would like to also see is where that CEP is supposed to be
merged (what major).

The rationale behind that is that it would be very nice to know what
we can expect in the next major. As it is right now, when somebody
proposes a CEP and we vote on it, there is practically no visibility
into WHEN it is going to be delivered.

I understand that it might be very hard to estimate, maybe an author
of that CEP genuinely does not know when it is going to be delivered
because priorities can change etc. but still ... I just do not know
where / when it is _supposed_ to land.

When the community just approves CEPs and we do not know what release
it is aimed for, then companies / people who are responsible for e.g.
marketing just do not know if they should spend any time on that CEP
and try to popularize it if it is not going to be delivered until the
next major is out.

Do you think we could shed more light onto actual deliverability of
these CEPs which are landing in Apache wiki recently?

What we are doing right now is that when CEP is delivered, then we
retrospectively update that CEP and say what major it was delivered
in. I think that the opposite would be also very nice, that CEP might
also say what major they want that to be in.

If, for example, I take CEP-45 (that is just an example, any
unfinished CEP might be used), that is supposed to be released as part
of 6.0? Or 7.0? What is going on in there? You get me ... We just do
not know ...

Regards
