Hi Tony, let me have a look at this in detail. I definitely do remember that it was with release 1.2 that we gradually moved closer towards a full Maven build (which we have achieved with relase 1.3rc1).
Afair, the Maven build should produce source JARs by default and install (deploy) then along-side the binary JARs.
