Hi Apache Stanbol is compatible to Java 6 something that would no longer be possible if Clerezza would require Java 7. I would prefer to stay with Java 6 unless their is a really important reason (e.g. if someone would like to use things like ForkJoinPool [1]).
Tommasos comment of having two branches would also solve my issue, but it would also introduce a lot of overhead for managing both version. Apple still provides updates to Java 6 they only deactivated Browser Applets for Java 6. In fact I am still using Java 6 as development version. best Rupert [1] http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/util/concurrent/ForkJoinPool.html On Tue, Mar 19, 2013 at 3:12 PM, Reto Bachmann-Gmür <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, > > With my latest commit I used java.nio.file.Path and I didn't notice this > was only introduced with Java 7.
