That makes sense to me, and I hope it is sucessful for you.
I have two follow up questions that would help the board to understand that 
this is a reasonable step for the project to take first are the majority of PMC 
members supportive of this approach? and secondly to what extent is your PMC 
made up of people from the same employer?
I'm trying to understand whether doing things "offline" for a spike like this 
is OK or whether we can help you to do it more transparently. This is a 
difficult line to draw, so please bear with me while I figure it out.
